Paro to Thimphu Cycling Tour (Half Day)

The Thimphu – Paro highway is one of the best cycling routes in the country. However, it’s considered to be moderate in terms of traffic and difficulty. It takes you on a 3-hour journey through smooth paved ways with slight unevenness on certain parts of the route. This is certainly one of the best ways to get up-close and personal with Bhutan.

Your bicycles and tour guide will meet up with you at your hotel and you can immediately jet off to begin your one day adventure by cycling your way out of Thimphu. This is a trip that will take you to Bhutan’s lush paddy fields, pristine forests, and its sleepy villages. You’ll get to stop over at the Thimphu and Paro rivers and watch the 3 stupas that’s unique to Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet. Lunch will be taken care of once you reach Paro, where you’ll be treated to a Bhutanese-style meal before continuing your journey through the valley. There will be short, frequent stops at important landmarks for you to visit. At the end of the route, you’ll have the option of cycling back or make your return in the comfort of a private vehicle.
